Today, Buds & Blossoms campers trekked all the way to ANTARCTICA! They began their day by making snowshoe hares that could switch between summer and winter coats. Next, they watched a slide show about Antarctica and then tested their knowledge by creating Arctic vs. Antarctic venn diagrams. The campers went outside on a bug scavenger hunt and then to the beach for some crab hunting, just in time before the rain came! After a tour of the mansion, the campers returned to Antarctica and watched Emperors of the Antarctic, a movie about penguins. Later, the campers made their own penguins and snowy owl chicks! Before trekking home, the campers played a final game of "Cosmic Catch" and then wrote about the days lessons in their journals.
